The field problem
Galala Infrastructure Development
A large residential infrastructure project required multiple standalone pits at each pillar/kiosk despite severe working-space limitations.
why the obvious answer can be misleading
When electrodes are permanently interconnected, their combined performance is a system property. Closely packed extra electrodes may provide limited incremental benefit because of mutual influence. However, an on-grid reading cannot be presented as the resistance of one individual electrode.

What changes
Redesign the topology as a coordinated distributed earthing network with a suitable local electrode at each unit, continuous interconnection, verified conductor duty and defined system-level acceptance points.
Correction & verification
Redesign the topology as a coordinated distributed earthing network with a suitable local electrode at each unit, continuous interconnection, verified conductor duty and defined system-level acceptance points.
Verification recorded in the case
- Document whether the test is individual-electrode or interconnected-system performance. Verify continuity and protection conditions.
- Record as-built topology and connection points.
- Repeat the measurement or functional test under a defined condition.
- Confirm continuity and mechanical integrity of the corrected path.
- Document instrument/setup, environmental condition and test method.
- Close the NCR/case only when evidence supports the conclusion.
